Fishing has been tough through the weather and even on the improving conditions yesterday was a challenge for guests. I knew it was about to break and sure enough as the warm up continued today things bounced with non-stop rod bending. Capt. Chris reported strong action on the flats over mud and grass.
Duck Hunting
Action in the blocks continues strong with limits to near limits coming for guests with close-in shooting. Weather has been to extremes and back again with even a lull in the wind and weather loosening up puddle ducks eager to take a close look.
Capt. Matt in WI reported his season looks to be over "3 weeks early" due to the freeze up there. Mid 40's this weekend and rain in the forecast will hopefully break things back open for him. Duck hunting in colder climates definately present some perils.
