Port O'Connor Fishing Reports

We've had our share of wet cycles dampening our fun, but this time around, the drought's changing the game.

With the arrival of fall, we can expect to see Trout and Redfish actively foraging in the migratory bait stocks. As the water begins to cool down, these species become more aggressive, making it the perfect time to target them.

Gators - We're just about at max capacity and presently filling out a few remaining dates. If you're interested, now is the time to finalize those plans.

Lots of challenges but pretty reasonable rewards for folks burning the candle at both ends. Capt. Pat Lester, Capt. Chris Cady, Capt. Mike Foster, and others sticking some solid flatties of late both wading and by flounder boat.

Big winds associated with the turbulent weather has had us hard after Redfish and Black Drum much longer into the early Summer months.

Folks have been here at the lodge working the flats on fishing trips as well as hitting the ducks and fish on Cast & Blast trips.

The guides battled Yellow Jackets, Red Wasps, Water Moccasins, and Rattle Snakes to get the job done.

Specialty airboat trips will become a highlight as temperartures start to pull back. Hop on as we cruise the far back reaches of our environs looking for tight schools and plenty of drag burning runs.

Early Teal, Alligator, Dove, Cast & Blast, and Night Vision Hog

Seasonality shifts coming up will include a focus on Redfish schooling up in the back lakes and shallow bays and upper bay marshes.
